A little peek at our history

Mine Clearance Planning Agency (MCPA) is an indigenous Afghanistan-based International Humanitarian Demining Organization, established under the auspices of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance to Afghanistan (UNOCHA) in March 1990, as an implementing partner of the United Nations Mine Action Program for Afghanistan (UNMAPA). MCPA is registered as Non-Governmental Organization with the Ministry of Economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan under registration No: ‘252’ and accredited by MACCA (Mine Action Coordination Center Afghanistan) for the conduction of any or all of the following demining components,

• Landmine impact survey
• Technical Survey
• Manual clearance operation
• Mechanical Clearance operation
• Mine Risk Education (MRE)
• Clearance through using Mine Detection Dogs (MDDs)
• Explosive Ordnance disposal operation (EOD}
• Battle area clearance operation (BAC)
